This Cabernet has a complex structure with a lot of dark fruits, black currents and some cigar box. A well integrated full-bodied Cabernet with some cedar.

Situation:   North of Stellenbosch
Altitude:    180 meters
Soil Type   Tukulu (Decomposed Granite)
Age of vines:   10 years
Irrigation:  Drip irrigation

HARVEST NOTE:
Grapes are hand picked at full ripeness in March 2006. Yield was about 8 tons per ha.

Must treatment:   Cold maceration for 3 days
Fermentation:      Open micro fermenters
Pressing:             Basket pressed
Malolactic fermentation:  In the barrel
Maturation:          20 months French oak, 60% new
